Free guides for 1,000+ Indian government schemes, certificates & citizen services
Find schemes you qualify for. File RTI in minutes. Track court cases. Get caste certificates. Everything the government offers — in plain language.
I started NagrikIQ because I kept watching friends, colleagues, and family members get stuck on Indian government processes that should have been simple. A friend's ₹2.3 lakh PF sat unclaimed for eight months because nobody told him about the grievance portal. A colleague paid ₹40,000 extra in TDS for four months because his PAN had gone inoperative and he didn't know. A neighbour paid an agent ₹3,000 to fill an income certificate form he could have filled online for free.
None of this is bad luck. It's what happens when official portals are written by lawyers for lawyers, when the actual process nobody documents is different from the one in the notification, and when a small industry of touts profits from confusion.
NagrikIQ is my attempt at a fix. Every guide here is written from experience — mine, my family's, my readers' — then verified against official .gov.in portals before publication. We publish the process as it actually works, not just as the government describes it. We call out the parts where the portal is broken, where the fees change silently, where the timelines listed on the website don't match reality.
We don't take commissions from agents, banks, or insurance companies. We don't hide affiliate links inside recommendations. When a process is free at a Seva Kendra, that's where we send you — even if the ad networks pay more when we send you elsewhere.
If a scheme or service exists for an Indian citizen, they should be able to find it, understand it, and access it — without paying an agent or asking a chartered accountant. That's the mission.
