PM Kisan Status Check 2026: Check ₹2,000 Installment Payment Online
Check your PM Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiary status instantly. Find out whether your 16th installment has been credited, why payment may be pending, and how to fix common issues.
PM Kisan is one of the most impactful schemes of the last decade — ₹6,000 a year directly to 11 crore farmers, no middlemen. But the number of eligible farmers who aren't receiving it because of registration gaps or eKYC failures is enormous. My uncle in Palakkad missed 4 instalments because his Aadhaar wasn't linked to his bank account properly. This page explains exactly what to check if your money isn't arriving.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common PM Kisan Mistakes (and How to Avoid Them)
❌ Mistake: Not completing eKYC — and not knowing it's mandatory
✅ Fix: PM Kisan eKYC is mandatory since 2022. Without completing OTP-based eKYC on pmkisan.gov.in, your instalments will stop even if you're a verified beneficiary. Do eKYC now if you haven't — it takes 2 minutes with your Aadhaar and registered mobile.
❌ Mistake: Registering with a bank account not linked to Aadhaar
✅ Fix: PM Kisan payments go through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) which requires Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts. If your bank account isn't linked to your Aadhaar, the payment will fail and bounce back to the government. Link your Aadhaar to your bank account at the bank branch.
❌ Mistake: Land in someone else's name — applying under own name
✅ Fix: PM Kisan eligibility requires the land to be in the applicant's name in the revenue records. If land is still in a deceased parent's name, update the mutation first, then apply for PM Kisan. Applications where the land record name doesn't match get rejected.
❌ Mistake: Missing the instalment window and thinking you've lost it
✅ Fix: If you miss verification in a particular instalment cycle, you don't permanently lose that payment — it's held pending verification. Complete your eKYC and land verification, and pending instalments are typically released in the next cycle.
❌ Mistake: Applying as a farmer when you're a government employee
✅ Fix: Central and state government employees, income taxpayers, and professionals (doctors, engineers, lawyers, CAs) are ineligible regardless of land ownership. Applications by ineligible beneficiaries are being audited and may require repayment of amounts received.
