Why We Built NagrikIQ

India has hundreds of welfare schemes, legal rights, and government portals — but navigating them is needlessly hard. Confusing jargon, broken links, outdated information, and regional language barriers leave millions of eligible citizens unable to claim what is rightfully theirs.

First-generation internet users, rural citizens, and people without formal education are most affected. They either give up on legitimate entitlements or pay touts and agents for information that should be freely available. NagrikIQ was built to change that — one verified guide at a time.

Our goal: if a scheme or right exists for an Indian citizen, they should be able to find it, understand it, and access it — without paying an agent or relying on word of mouth.

CR
Content Review ProcessQuality Assurance

Every article is cross-checked with official .gov.in and .nic.in portals before it is published. We update guides within 48 hours of any government policy change. Factual corrections submitted by readers are reviewed and resolved within 24 hours of verification.

Our Methodology

We follow a structured five-step process for every guide and article published on NagrikIQ.

1
Step 1: Source
We only use official government portals — .gov.in and .nic.in domains. No third-party aggregators, no unofficial sites, no social media posts. Every claim traces back to an official URL.
2
Step 2: Verify
Each fact is cross-checked against 2 or more official sources before it is written into a guide. For fees and eligibility criteria, we reference the original government circular or gazette notification.
3
Step 3: Simplify
Legal and bureaucratic language is rewritten in plain English so that a Class 10 student can follow the steps. Wherever state-level variation exists, we disclose it explicitly rather than generalise.
4
Step 4: Review
Every article is reviewed by a second team member before publishing. No guide goes live directly from a single author. This second-pass check catches errors, missing disclaimers, and broken links.
5
Step 5: Update
All guides are reviewed on a rolling 3–6 month cycle. When a government policy changes, the relevant guide is updated within 48 hours of the official notification. A 'Last Updated' timestamp is shown on every page.
