Types of Ration Cards in India

Step-by-Step Application Process

Visit Your State Portal

Go to your state's food & civil supplies department website. Check the state portals list below for the correct URL.

Create a new account using your Aadhaar-linked mobile number or log in if you already have an account. OTP will be sent to your number.

Fill Application Form

Select 'Apply for New Ration Card'. Fill in family head details, address, income category (AAY/BPL/APL), and add all family members.

Upload Documents

Upload scanned copies of: Aadhaar cards of all family members, address proof, income certificate, and a recent passport-size photo.

Submit & Get Reference Number

Submit the form and save the reference/application number. You will receive an SMS confirmation on your registered mobile.

Field Verification

A field officer may visit your home to verify details. Cooperate and provide original documents if requested.

Check Status & Download
